Brief Bio

Dr. Wei Hu is an associate professor at Department of Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University, China. He received his PhD degree in Computer Software and Theory in 2009, and his BS degree in Computer Science and Technology in 2005, both from Southeast University. He joined the faculty of Nanjing University in Dec. 2009.

He appointed as the visiting scholar at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from Nov. 2007 to May 2008, advised by Prof. Frank van Harmelen. He interned at IBM China Research Laboratory from Sep. 2008 to Dec. 2008. He also appointed as the visiting scholar at Stanford University from Sep. 2014 to Sep. 2015, working with Prof. Michel Dumontier.

Research Interests

Semantic Web - realize a Web of (linked) data
Data Integration - combine big, heterogeneous data
Ontology Engineering - make knowledge explicit
Biomedical Knowledge Discovery
